Mohammed Gibreel
Founder & CEO - Mohammed Gibreel is an accomplished agricultural development professional, project manager, and visionary leader with over a decade of experience in agricultural extension, rural development, and agribusiness management. He is the Founder and Executive Director of the Network for Rural Agricultural Transformation (NefRAT), an organization advancing sustainable agriculture, empowering rural farmers, and promoting climate-smart innovations across Ghana. As an Agriculture Extension Agent with the Department of Food and Agriculture, he has trained and mentored hundreds of farmers in the Sagnarigu Municipality, facilitated technology transfer, and supported agricultural policy implementation. His leadership has driven the adoption of conservation agriculture, agroforestry, and data-driven farm advisory systems that enhance smallholder productivity and resilience. Gibreel has held key roles at Agro-Circa Ghana, Bomarts Farms, NAK Natural Mineral Water Ltd., and Upfront Services Ltd., demonstrating strong project management and stakeholder engagement. He holds an MSc in Agricultural Project Management, a BSc in Agricultural Technology, and an HND in Agricultural Engineering, alongside multiple professional certifications and international trainings. A committed community leader, he leverages digital tools and inclusive leadership to advance food security and climate-resilient agriculture in Ghana.
Mohammed Seidu
Finance & Procurement Manager - Mohammed Seidu is a seasoned finance, procurement, and agribusiness professional with over ten years of experience in financial management, agricultural input systems, market development, and livelihoods enhancement. He currently serves as Finance and Procurement Manager at the Network for Rural Agricultural Transformation (NefRAT), where he oversees financial planning, procurement operations, and compliance to ensure transparent and efficient use of resources across agricultural programs. Previously, Mohammed worked as a Project Officer with Savannah Agro Input Services, training and mentoring over 300 smallholder farmers in Northern Ghana to adopt improved agronomic practices and increase productivity. His background also includes roles as an Accounts Officer at Quality First Limited and a Professional Teacher with the Ghana Education Service, strengthening his financial, administrative, and human resource management skills. He holds an MBA in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Practice, an HND in Accountancy, and a Diploma in Education. With experience in research and development projects focused on livelihoods and social inclusion, Mohammed combines financial discipline with a strong commitment to accountability, gender equity, and sustainable rural development.
Issahaku Iddrissu
Project Volunteer - Issahaku Iddrisu is a dedicated and forward-looking young agricultural professional with a strong academic background and practical skills in sustainable agriculture, rural development, and digital farming innovations. His interest in agriculture began at Islamic Science Senior High School, where he studied Agriculture and developed a passion for farming systems, environmental management, and community transformation. He holds a Diploma of Technology in Sustainable Agriculture from Tamale Technical University, which equipped him with solid knowledge of climate-smart agriculture, environmentally friendly farming practices, and sustainable food production systems. This training enables him to combine theoretical understanding with practical problem-solving in addressing agricultural challenges. Issahaku demonstrates strong competencies in data collection, farm mapping, and digital agriculture tools, including ODK, KOBO, GIS mapping, and farm monitoring applications. These skills position him as a promising advocate for precision agriculture and data-driven decision-making to enhance productivity and resilience among smallholder farmers.
